Gallatone Records
Adam made the design for these, and then they made them at a silkscreening party, the idea being a promotion/fundraiser for the record label, which is run by Gallatin students and features NYU student bands. Adam took the photo, which pictures a bunch of people playing my djembe. I was not there at the time. Anyways the silkscreening party was a good idea, but once the process got started, it quickly became clear that they had not accounted for the ink drying the screens. They space for the party was just some classroom, so of course there was no sink or anything to wash them out in. Before it descended into chaos I gave Adam money for the shirt and told him to make me a white on green.
For the most part I don't like the music or bands on Gallatone. But Adam works for them, plus its his design, so I'm happy to promote by wearing it around. The tilted square logo works really well, though I imagine it was unintentional.
