Hot Air Balloons

This is a Maya Hayuk print, which was being sold at Printed Matter. They had some sort of t-shirt party, and had the shirts displayed clothes-pinned to bits of rope strung across the store. I was drawn in by some designs that I recognized - turned out they were from Kayrock Screenprinting, whom I had met when they printed the covers for Cory's Born to Run Glockenspiel Addendum record. But this shirt caught my eye the most, and $20 for an original artist print is a pretty good deal. I have been enjoying repeating pattern prints, the kind of LA-style tees that are popular in New York right now, with lots of little repeating logos making an overall texture. This is nice because its not quite so uniform, the balloons are different shapes and sizes. I've always wanted to ride in a hot air balloon.
