Battlebeast

This was the shirt that originally caught my eye that day that John was selling shirts on Telegraph ave in Berkeley. I was like "oh SHIT BATTLEBEASTS!?!?!?" amazed that anyone else knew about them let alone had already made a multi-colored hand printed t-shirt of it. So that got me talking to John, and was how I first me him. My brother and I collected battle beasts when we were young. They are small, maybe 2 inches tall, hard rubber figures, half animal half robot. The square in the center of each of their chests had a silver sticker on it, and if you rubbed your finger on it (to heat it a little bit) it revealed a picture of either burning logs, waves, or rocks, I think. So each animal had its element too. I remember being a big fan of the octopus, the moose, and the anteater. John actually had a pretty sizable collection of them. This tee has the baseball style coloration, but full length sleeves. When other people recognize the Battlebeast, they are usually guys my age, and they are usually way excited.
