Animal Target Practice
This was one of a few shirts I got from the Gigantic Industries store on Franklin st, between off Lafayette st. I was living in the dorm around the corner at the time, but I never saw any students go into the place. I had been in one time before to check it out (see microcosm music shirt), but they were closing the store and having a 75% off sale - something like all their tshirts were $12 a piece.
Most people's immediate reaction is that its a food chain shirt. That makes sense for the largest three, until you get to the butterfly eating the fish. So that's out. I think that its basically meant to be a target. All of the animals are pictured actual size, and the color scheme seems to go along with that. Also, its almost impossible to see, but the tiny white fleck in the upper part of the cat is a small "1", and going down in a straight line from that, each animal has another number on it, down to the tiny beetle which has a "5" in it. It would be cool if there was a "0" on the white of the shirt, making the wearer a target too.
